and after that little exchange she reiterated that volume 9 is probably her favourite volume yet (and that it will be out At Some Point and that it will be magical)

I am not sure if she wishes to define herself as anything or even as part of the lgbt+ community, but i just want to say that i find it neat that Bumbleby, a canon w/w couple, is played by people who are also somewhere on the spectrum. Happy Pride!! 🌈✨
at galaxycon one of the questions was “what touched you the most as a voice actress in RWBY” and arryn’s face was immediately like :o !! as she thought about it, then she frowned like “oh… wait no i can’t say anything about that” which is!!!!! ghhhghhhh
but instead of spoilers, she just said “that moment where blake said ‘im not gonna break my promise’ and yang said ‘i know’ that was just a great moment”
then barb chimed in like “um excuse it it was actually i know you wont?? excuse.” and then she was like “then they were like *mimes hug/kissy embrace*
and im just sekhfskhgdkghkhk I MISS MY BEES
now that all of volume 8 is out………………. i don’t think we’ve SEEN this moment yet???
the question specifically was “what touched you most as a VOICE ACTRESS” aka meaning something that they specifically voiced
the only touching moment that we got that was on par with the level of emotion as “i’m not going to break my promise / i know you wont” was the beeunion 2.0 in the schnee manor – except for one small “problem”
there was no voice acting during that scene.
so whatever moment it was that made arryn immediately go “:O !!!!” , it could reasonably be said that it wasn’t that reunion moment, because arryn had no lines at blake in that scene
and then the only other time was when she screamed yang’s name as she fell over the edge – which is potentially what could have touched arryn as a VA… except for the fact that, when thinking about it, would arryn have gotten that whole “excited :o this is some juicy TEA i wanna spill” sort of bouncy reaction for such a devastating moment – especially for her character?
i mean… Possibly? but my money is that the emotional scene that touched arryn and got her to react with an “excited happy bounce” sort of thing (if i remember that galaxycon panel right – it’s up on youtube somewhere but i dont remember which one) is probably a really emotional, more “positive” beeunion 3.0 scene
and i’m pretty sure they at least saw some of the scripts for v9 at that point / maybe even recorded some lines…. so basically ……. i’m just
like doing anything i can to convince myself that we’re going to get a really emotional beeunion right in the early episodes of v9 (i honestly would prefer it Not to be a kiss right away, just so we can have that completely explicit “oh we’re REALLY dancing on the edge of our feelings now” and MAYBE EVEN an interrupted Almost Kiss to reaaaallly build that romantic tension) – and that that scene, that reunion, is what arryn (and barb cause i know she said that we havent seen her favourite scene that she’s recorded yet EITHER) is really excited by and was touched the most by as a VA

barbara explaining that they don’t change things that have been planned since the beginning just for fans, in reference to the bees
yang literally only had a one word line last episode, like literally she only said “RUBY!” then screamed – so i find it Very Hard to believe that barb’s “favourite scene to record” was that last episode
which means we’ll see her in the finale, somehow
