personally i think she’ll be supportive and understanding but also a little sad. blake was her crush for such a long time, and seeing her with both a girl and a human i think is going to weigh on her a bit.

the main difference between sun and ilia imo is that sun always kind of knew that he and blake wouldn’t work out. he liked her, and i think for a bit she liked him, and he was there for her when she really needed someone. but like he said, “you’re with who you’re supposed to be with.” unlike ilia, he actually knows yang and got a glimpse of her relationship with blake and knows that for blake, she’s always only had eyes for yang deep down.
i could definitely see ilia being cautious with yang at first. like i said, she doesn’t know yang like sun does. sun has no qualms about blake and yang because he knows that yang is exactly what blake’s always needed, but ilia only knew blake with adam.
i think she’ll be afraid of blake choosing someone who’ll hurt her again, but she’ll meet yang and see how she looks at blake like blake is her whole world, and she’ll know deep down that they’re perfect for each other.
i also think that eventually finding out yang’s own history with adam will help ilia understand better, because blake finally has someone who knows adam and the scars he left on a deeper level and knows how to best help her in a way that nobody else does.
she’ll definitely be a bit upset and heartbroken, but like sun, she’ll see that yang is exactly what blake has always needed, and that’ll be good enough for her.
I think Ilia will be just as happy as Sun for Blake when she finds out about her and Yang. Yes she will be sad it wasn’t her of course but I think she’d want Blake to be happy and if that’s with someone else then so be it…
I think it’d be funny if Ilia is initially resentful of Yang (but doesn’t say or do anything to give that away). Yang, meanwhile, sees this little lost girl who’s stumbling her way through having lost her previous support structure… and unconsciously falls right back into big-sisiter/pseudo-mother mode like she did with Ruby.
Suddenly, Yang is spending a lot of time with Ilia, and has become one of the faunus girl’s new favourite people.
Ruby’s delighted, Weiss is snapping pictures, Blake is relieved that there’s no tension between the two of them (but getting a little low-key jealous of Ilia monopolising her Yang’s time).
Yang’s just happy that Ilia seems to be alright with her… and her-and-Blake.
Ilia, meanwhile, is still a little sore that she can’t be with Blake (she’s still curshing bad). Nonetheless, she’s glad that Blake has somebody as loving and supportive as Yang…
…and then, one day, Yang gathers Ilia into a big hug. Ilia likes the warmth, but then gets a whiff of Yang’s hair… and starts noticing the strong muscles that Yang’s hugging her with… and can feel the oh-wow-she’s-tall girl’s breath on her shoulder…
…Uh oh.
